Studying animals!

Like us, they usually liked to chill a lot.

It was tricky finding each animals' essence with just simple fast brush strokes.

Any pachyderm is alright in my book... and raccoons too.

Because of anatomy, proportion and features, motion studies were one of the bigger hurdles for me.

I can never get enough of Otomo. All the characters were done on Adobe Illustrator and colored using Photoshop.

When mirrors come in handy!

Working on character style and keeping it constant, all while bringing it to life with gnarly expressions. The more I focus on works that involve more realism the more it becomes clearer when translating it to caricature, its nice when you notice everything balances out.

Plein Air Painting!

These are a few color plein air studies done over the fall. The degree of color I was able to perceive after this experience has shifted a few degrees towards the " hephalumps and woozle" range.
